HVAC Mechanic

Knowledge and ability to perform preventative and general maintenance tasks on HVAC-Reefer systems.. Deep understanding of fabricating equipment parts to meet specialty needs or replace parts that may not be readily available.. Coordination with OPS for the open Service Order Request (SOR) for US Army and civil contractor.. Follow up for pending Service Order Request (SOR) and priorities to close with proper timely procedures.. Operates, maintains, repairs Heating, Ventilation / Air Conditioning (HVAC-R) and refrigeration equipment.. Treats air by controlling temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and distribution of specific areas through an integrated air condition and ventilation equipment, accessories, and control devices.. Experience with chilled and heated water systems, boilers, hydronic hot/cold water distribution systems, packaged and split systems, air delivery systems, and their controls and components.. Solders, brazes, performs minor electrical work & troubleshoots equipment to a replaceable component level.. Reads and interprets work orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints, and manuals to accomplish and maintain maintenance.. Proven ability to read schematics and work plans.. During my tenor as an HVAC and Reefer System Tech for U.S. and Coalition armed forces in various regions of Afghanistan.. Duties include but not limited to refrigerant recovery as well as proper storing of various hazardous materials.. Troubleshooting of different electrical components of HVAC systems used by U.S. coalition armed forces.. Versatile experience with manifold gauges, HVAC vacuum pump & the Robin air refrigerant Recovery system.. Effective in installing and troubleshooting heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units.. Adept at balancing air and water treatment systems in accordance to HVAC protocols.. Core understanding of determining causes of malfunctions and correcting them properly.. Exceptional knowledge of providing technical assistant with the design and implementation of HVAC systems.. Strong background in reading / interpreting instruction & safety procedures associated with HVAC processes.. Absolute understanding of local building codes.. Knowledge of basic and advanced building components in relation to HVAC systems.. Solid knowledge of using hand and power tools.. Physically dexterous to handle tasks effectively in extreme weather conditions.. Well-versed in installing and repairing pumps, wiring, motors, thermostat, fan coils and piping.. Ability to determine whether a part of a system or the system in whole can be repaired or need to be replaced.
