Conduct comprehensive pre-dialysis patient assessments (vital signs, weight, fluid status). Assess and manage vascular access (AV fistula, grafts, central venous catheters). Prepare and prime dialysis machines and equipment according to protocol. Safely initiate and terminate haemodialysis treatment using aseptic technique. Accurately set and monitor dialysis parameters (UF goal, blood flow rate, dialysate flow). Continuously monitor patients during dialysis for complications (hypotension, cramps, nausea, disequilibrium syndrome). Respond promptly to machine alarms and clinical emergencies. Perform post-dialysis care, including access site management and patient reassessment. Maintain strict infection prevention and control practices (PPE, hand hygiene, equipment disinfection). Provide patient education on fluid management, renal diet, medication adherence, and fistula care. Deliver holistic patient care, including emotional and psychological support. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care and treatment parameters. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (nephrologists, dietitians, technicians). Maintain and troubleshoot dialysis equipment and report faults. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and adherence to clinical standards. Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional nursing standards

Perform and assist with clinical procedures (wound care, catheterisation, oxygen therapy, suctioning). Monitor and manage deteriorating patients using early warning scoring systems. Respond to medical emergencies (cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, shock) and initiate BLS/CPR. Ensure effective pain management and patient comfort. Implement and maintain infection prevention and control practices. Provide pre- and post-operative care where applicable. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (doctors, physiotherapists, pharmacists, dietitians). Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication, and discharge care. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients. Adhere to legal, ethical, and professional nursing standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
