I had to invite my team member. I had to invite that team member and have a talk one on one. Actually, it's fortunate that I was able to meet him in person and talk in person, not over phone or email, but I sent him a request for a meeting so that we could come and talk about whatever had happened. So when they came in, I told them, because as their superior, the team leader, I told them what they had done wrong and what was expected out of them. I gave them a chance to explain the reason as to why they had performed otherwise. And the matter was solved amicably. So first of all, I made sure I do not do the confrontation bit of it. I inquired why what happened had happened, not confronting, like blaming someone. I tried to find out, I inquired to know why they had taken that direction instead of the other. And it turned out that the matter was resolved amicably and positively. And the staff was retained and whatever had gone wrong was rectified.
one of the notable scenarios where I had to effectively communicate with a customer was on my previous role as a team leader, where we had a problem. Um, we had a venue where we used to host team buildings for different companies and one of my team members, Mr. Kinley, booked an event on the same time and date where they had already scheduled an event, so we had two different clients coming in at the same time, which wasn't planned for because we had planned for one event. I managed to take them into, I could say into isolation because I had to take them out of the open space, like where every client was able to hear what we are talking about. So we needed that privacy, so we could talk one on one with the client and make sure I calm them down so we can effectively communicate because the client was already mad and high. Like he was really angry about what was happening. So by all means, I had to make sure the situation does not escalate and it does not disorganize the rest of the customers. This could enable the identification of the file, because in case you are searching for a file, when it has a unique number, you will be able to enter that particular number in the database and it could display whatever information is attached to that file. And this could also make it easier for updates. In case there is any update about the file, we could just go into the database and identify the file using the unique identification number for that given file and then update the data.
