Demonstrates knowledge and skill in cardiac rhythm interpretation/documentation, order entry and other clerical duties as assigned.. Acts as key liaison for the nursing unit / department, supporting internal and external communication with a variety of people including patients, families, visitors, physicians and coworkers.. Demonstrates proficiency in order entry, placing reports into patients’ medical records, assisting with chart preparation for admissions, transfers, surgery and other related duties.. Puts all needed patient documentation for upcoming surgeries / procedures / admissions into the patient's chart, such as lab reports, history and physicals, etc.. Makes appointments for discharges and referrals.
