Responsible for all scheduling, authorizations, and keeping everything orderly for the best patient care possible.. Contacting insurance companies to obtain any prior certifications for that patient’s procedure date.. Notify Dr. Goltra of any issue that may have arisen prior to or during the patient's visit.. Work closely with the clinical staff (Amy Whitley) to make sure all injection patients are scheduled and know all the prior knowledge before coming for their procedure.. Contact doctors offices when clinical information is required, scheduling issues, or anything the doctors may need to give better care to the patient.

Responsible for in- and outbound multi-clinic phone, email, referral and fax management, with primary focus on accurate and timely patient intake and scheduling.. Request and obtain relevant documents to ensure accurate patient registration, both at initial evaluation as well as their ongoing documentation requests as needed by Dr. Goltra and East Cooper Medical.. Route any inbound patients to the correct clinics along with supporting the hospital’s clinic departments.. Collaborate with the Clinical Director to ensure patients are fully informed of the upcoming procedure and the restrictions, scheduling, and post procedure requirements.. Aide in any referrals that may be necessary for the patients follow up care.. Own all elements of patient intake processing and workflows, including patient accounts and the management of appropriate work queues.. Obtain any prior authorization that may be required through the patients active insurance, along with any liability.
