Looking for a senior female caregiver ( 40 +) for a senior with dementia. Every Sat and Sun 4-6 ( or can be 3-6 or 4-7) Experience with dementia is preferred because you need extreme patience and experience dealing with situations that involve anxiety and forgetfulness. My mom’s current caregivers work either 9-12 or 4 to 6 PM. I am looking for someone to fill in the gaps occasionally. I also need dedication to a Saturday and Sunday 4 - 6 shift. Duties include breakfast or dinner meal prep, medication prompting, going for walks, occasional house cleaning, And primarily companionship. Must be ok with a dog. Must be compassionate , patient and kind, dedicated to long-term positio with flexible hours because it is difficult to introduce my mom to new people continuously. . It would be beneficial to be located close to Herkimer for short notice and inclement weather situation.. References will be required, as well as agreeing to a background check.
