Job Responsibilities Rooming patients; taking vitals, chief complaint, HPI, etc. Immunizations/injections Some phlebotomy/collection of specimens for lab testing Prior authorizations/working with insurance companies Telephone calls with patients, pharmacies, insurance companies, etc. In-house testing (e.g. UA, INR, EKG) Job Requirements Minimum of one year experience as a medical assistant Current Medical Assistant certification Experience with use of EMR (eCW especially) Strong medical terminology Good oral and written communication Excellent customer service skills *Individuals who are bilingual in English and Spanish are strongly preferred and paid a differential for this skill Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $25.50 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Free parking Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Medical specialties: Primary Care Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Work setting: In-person Experience: Medical Office Experience: 1 year (Preferred) Language: Spanish (Preferred) License/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred) Work Location: In person
