SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant reports to the Pastor and is a trusted member of the staff. This position provides necessary support for the work of the pastors, committees and congregation. The Senior Pastor is the primary supervisor and evaluator for this position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepares and copies bulletins for Sunday services and other special services, including large print bulletins • Maintains records of pledges, collections, special offerings and deposits to the bank • Responds to phone and email communications and forwards inquires to the Pastor and/or appropriate committee chairpersons • Updates and maintains church website • Maintains church paper and electronic records and files, including by-laws, committee minutes and other records as presented by officers and committee chairs • Responds to inquiries and requests for information • Performs copying and mailing, distributes incoming mail • Inventories and replenishes office supplies for the Parish House and church • Maintains on line master calendar of meetings, activities of the church and church committees • Acts as agent of the church in arranging for rentals of the Parish House and church • Completes administrative tasks for committees as needed • Assists in creating and maintaining church communications, publications and brochures • Designs flyers and signage to promote activities and special events • Proficient (or willing to learn) in 365 Microsoft Office, internet and office equipment, Facebook, Instagam, MailChimp, Google Drive, Weebly Website Builder, Dropbox, YouTube, Zoom and SalesForce POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • A team spirit and desire to support the work of the Old Meeting House • Strong organizational and communication skills • Flexibility in meeting the needs of The Old Meeting House • Shows initiative and works independently • Willingness to learn • Prompt and reliable in completing tasks • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude in communicating with the congregation and general public • Maintains confidentiality TERMS: This is a permanent part-time position, 24 hours/week. Hourly rate range: $20 - $23/hour
