Your Impact: - Supervise the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. - Develop and uphold internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. - Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, offering insightful analysis and recommendations to management. - Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. - Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. - Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. - Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders. - Develop internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities. - Coordinate and direct budgeting, procurement, investment activities, and financial planning. - Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards. - Establish and maintain financial controls within the accounting department. - Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis. - Create budgets and forecasts. - Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. - Provide support to management, particularly in commercial and financial matters. - Create reports to help senior leadership understand company financials. - Oversee the company general ledger. - Maintain complete and accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP. - Review, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. - Prepare, sign, and mail 1099s annually in accordance with the law. - Maintain registration and website access for state-specific requirements. - Maintain corporate documentation of formal IRS letters. - Prepare and pay personal property and sales taxes in a timely manner for all states. - Calculate necessary revenue per state to support Federal and state tax reporting. - Respond to and address any tax-related matters as needed. What We’re Looking For: - Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field. - Proven work experience in accounting or a related field and financial project management. - Understanding of applicable laws and regulations, including federal regulations on taxes and reporting. - Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking. - Knowledge of financial data analysis and reporting. - Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. - Familiarity with GAAP principles. - Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. - Strong productivity skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. - Proficiency in MS Office applications. - Well-developed leadership and management skills. - Ability to maintain composure and presence of mind under pressure. - Strong work ethic and a reputation for integrity and mature business judgment. - Self-starter with little need for close management supervision. - Ability to interface with personnel at all levels in an informal operating environment. - Ability to maintain workplace confidentiality and take ownership/accountability for own actions. - Knowledge of auditing practices and principles. Required Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. - Current CPA or equivalent preferred.
