In this position, you will: - Collaborate with our skilled engineering and design teams to conceptualize and introduce innovative features and frameworks across our mobile and web interfaces. - Work alongside product line PMs in a 'platform PM' capacity, providing support for their initiatives, aligning priorities, and managing interdependencies. - Utilize data to comprehend our customers and market positioning, ensuring effective prioritization, establishing a roadmap, and defining long-term strategies for our products and features. - Develop a technical understanding of our product systems and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify significant enhancements. - Drive improvements in product management practices at Samsara to facilitate hyper-growth at scale. - Act as a champion and exemplar of Samsara's cultural values (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we expand globally and into new offices. Minimum requirements for this role: - Extensive experience in product management (minimum 7+ years), with a demonstrated track record of operating and delivering results within a platform team environment. - A strategic and inquisitive mindset, capable of synthesizing customer insights and data independently to formulate cohesive strategies and product roadmaps. - Solid technical acumen, with the ability to grasp technical concepts and establish credibility with engineering teams. - Proven ability to deliver exceptional results, prioritizing customer and business needs, managing complexity, and meeting aggressive timelines. You have a bias for action and are willing to dive into tasks hands-on. - Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to various audiences including customers, executives, and internal stakeholders, and adjusting communication styles accordingly. Preferred qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field; an MBA is a plus. - Experience in UX-focused development. - Track record in envisioning and implementing large-scale platform changes. - Understanding of designing products, features, and frameworks for users with diverse levels of technical expertise. - Experience in managing both external and internal customers as key stakeholders in roadmap planning and development.
