Responsibilities: - Drive the formulation and execution of Upwork's advertising and monetization strategy, leading to improved client and freelancer outcomes and maximizing revenue growth. - Develop and manage a product roadmap, prioritizing features that meet customer needs and align with Upwork's strategic objectives. - Communicate the product vision and ensure alignment among stakeholders, adjacent product teams, and leadership. - Establish and monitor key success metrics, leveraging data analysis to identify trends and guide decision-making. - Collaborate closely with engineering leads to shape the future of Upwork's advertising technology stack. - Partner with analytics, economics, and user research teams to design and execute quantitative tests and gather qualitative feedback. - Work with customer support to create product documentation and community announcements. - Collaborate with product marketing to position Upwork's products effectively in the marketplace. - Mentor and guide other product managers to ensure their success and growth, despite this being an Individual Contributor role. What We Look For: - 7+ years of product management experience in the advertising technology sector, including a track record of launching and scaling successful advertising products. - Strong analytical skills, capable of synthesizing complex data and deriving actionable insights. - Deep understanding of comprehensive advertising tools such as Facebook Ads Manager or similar products. - Technical proficiency in advertising technology stack components, including programmatic advertising, ad serving technology, audience targeting, and measurement. - Passion for creating economic opportunities globally. - Experience in a two-sided marketplace or platform-based business is advantageous. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. - Strong project management abilities, adept at leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects concurrently.
