Qualifications: - Advanced Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Four to six years of relevant experience in direct personal solicitation of individual donors, foundations, clients, or corporations, or relevant for-profit business development experience at the $10,000+ level, with familiarity with CRM systems. - Proven excellence in building client/donor relationships, with a passion for Oxfam’s mission and commitment to goal attainment. - Demonstrated ability to independently identify and qualify new high-value prospects in a non-profit or corporate environment. - Ability to work autonomously and with accountability, prioritize tasks, engage constructively in problem-solving, and work effectively in a team environment. - Strong written and oral communication skills, including experience writing funding proposals. - Ability to develop and execute creative and effective solicitation strategies and inspire enthusiasm among team members. - Attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, experience with fundraising databases, and strong investigative skills. - Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. - Direct engagement experience in cultivating and soliciting six, seven, and eight-figure gifts within the structure of a Capital campaign. - Experience in project management and/or implementation of cultivation events. - Experience working with executive staff, board members, and volunteer stakeholders, with discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment. - High degree of initiative and commitment to goal attainment and quality standards. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in public speaking. - Familiarity with innovative funding models. - Knowledge of basic finance or accounting principles. - Multilingual and/or fluency in Spanish. - Experience engaging and soliciting diaspora and diverse donor groups. - Experience working in an international development or social justice organization.
