**What You'll Work On:** - Recommend, direct, and implement ERM strategies and operations to ensure the ERM framework, risk assessments, policies, processes, risk appetite statements, tolerances, and measures are integrated throughout Circle and its culture. - Drive risk assessments, risk awareness, and embed risk and the three lines of defense approach across Circle. - Lead and support key risk assessment initiatives aligned with global expansion strategies, including assessments of the international and local landscape. - Lead and support critical cross-functional projects and activities in risk assessment and remediation across business lines (e.g., product, engineering, treasury). - Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive ERM policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational objectives. - Support end-to-end management of ERM risk management, including identifying, assessing, prioritizing, mitigating, monitoring, testing, and reporting. - Engage as a key business partner early in the process in risk discussions and ad-hoc interactions to support ongoing risk identification, ownership, mitigation, and acceptance. - Assist functions in assessing their risk profile and advise on necessary risk controls. - Provide consultation to enable the business to calculate current risk, evaluate risk factors, suggest mitigation measures, and align with corporate risk statements and tolerances. - Provide subject matter expertise and input to ensure the delivery of risk-related awareness, training, and orientation to all employees and third parties. - Lead periodic reviews and recommend updates to policies, processes, tools, and templates to reflect the changing environment. - Collaborate with the VP of ERM and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer on global projects and responsibilities as assigned. - Support the Enterprise Risk Committee in providing risk expertise and input into the overall health of the ERM program and providing periodic results of the risk-based monitoring program. - Support other ERM pillars like Issue Management and Governance. **You Will Aspire to Our Four Core Values:** - **Multistakeholder:** Dedication and commitment to customers, shareholders, employees, families, and local communities. - **Mindful:** Respectful, active listener, attention to detail. - **Driven by Excellence:** Relentlessly pursue excellence, do not tolerate mediocrity, work intensely to achieve goals. - **High Integrity:** Seek open and honest communication, hold oneself to high moral and ethical standards, reject manipulation, dishonesty, and intolerance. **What You'll Bring to Circle:** - Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, or Law required; advanced degree preferred. - 7+ years working in risk management in financial services, payments, or technology companies. - Prior experience building an ERM risk assessment program across regions, functions, and multiple jurisdictions. - Expert knowledge of ERM frameworks, risk assessment methodology, risk management processes, risk appetite statements, policy development, key risk measures/indicators, and review. - Experience in embedding a risk culture in a rapidly expanding business environment, preferably in technology or financial services. - Experience or familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
