**Job Summary:** The Technical Writer interprets customer drawings, bills of material, and industry specifications to create assembly build documentation. This role facilitates the manufacture of cable harnesses, printed circuit assemblies, and electro-mechanical assemblies by effectively communicating customer specifications to production assemblers using technical writing skills. **Key Result Areas:** **Essential Functions:** - Create assembly build documentation for Production Operators based on customer specifications and workmanship standards. - Specify components for cable assemblies and printed circuit boards based on descriptions and customer requirements. - Perform revision control on assembly documentation to ensure compliance with current customer specifications. - Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of assembly and QA-Test procedures for Production Assemblers, QA/Test, and Shipping personnel. - Implement deviation requests and production redlines to existing assembly documentation. - Conduct New Product Introduction Meetings with Production and QA/Test departments. - Analyze customer drawings and bills of material to identify and mitigate possible issues prior to production. - Utilize software applications such as CAD viewers, Gerber viewers, and Visio to view and print customer-provided build information. **Minimum Qualification:** - Previous experience in Technical writing or Production Documentation. - Previous experience in Electronics manufacturing practices, including printed circuit boards and cable assemblies. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - High proficiency in MS Excel and Word. - Understanding of Computer Aided Drafting and Technical Writing. - Basic understanding of MRP systems and revision control.
