Job Description: The Power BI Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI solutions to support data visualization and analytics needs within the organization. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, create data models, and develop interactive reports and dashboards. The Power BI Engineer will also be involved in data integration, ETL processes, and performance optimization to ensure efficient data delivery and visualization. Responsibilities - Architect scalable and efficient data models in Power BI, leveraging DAX to create sophisticated calculations and aggregations. - Develop Power BI reports: Utilize Power BI tools to create reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights. Use direct query capabilities to connect to Azure SQL databases, employ DAX functions for data manipulation, and prepare Power Pivot tables in Excel. - Understand business requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand their business requirements. Translate these requirements into effective reports and visualizations that address key business needs and enable data-driven decision-making - Craft visually compelling dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights, utilizing DAX for advanced analytics and calculations. - Data analysis and optimization: Perform data analysis tasks, including SQL queries tuning and optimization, to ensure efficient and accurate data retrieval. Identify performance bottlenecks, suggest improvements, and implement optimizations for Azure SQL databases. - Optimize Power BI performance by fine-tuning DAX queries, data models, and report designs. Implement caching strategies and other performance-enhancing techniques to ensure a seamless user experience. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Bilingual Proficiency in English - 5-6 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Power BI, SQL Server, SQL, and analytic processes. - Strong experience with Power BI, including direct query capabilities, DAX functions, and Power Pivot. - Proficiency in SQL and Azure SQL databases, focusing on performance tuning and optimization. - Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, logical and physical design, and ETL processes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Life at Savant BPO: Our facility is conveniently located in Sabaneta, with options for hybrid work arrangements.
