Job DescriptionTitle: House Supervisor Nurse- Behavioral HealthStatus: Full Time (36 hours/week)Location: Belle Mead, New JerseySalary: Starting at $99,656.96 annuallyVisa Support: No Visa Sponsorship AvailableOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time, night-shift House Supervisor position in Belle Mead, New Jersey. This role provides organization-wide clinical and operational leadership during evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.The House Supervisor serves as the senior clinical and administrative resource during assigned shifts, helping ensure safe patient care, appropriate staffing, efficient patient flow, timely emergency response, and effective coordination between clinical departments.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical and operational leadership during assigned evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.Supervise staff and help ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care across the organization.Manage patient flow, placement, admissions, and continuity of care.Respond to emergency codes, rapid-response situations, and other urgent clinical or operational matters.Take on Incident Command responsibilities when necessary until designated emergency management personnel are available.Assess admission status based on established clinical criteria and organizational guidelines.Report and escalate significant incidents, patient concerns, complaints, and operational issues to the appropriate leadership.Collaborate with nursing leaders, physicians, case management, and other clinical and support departments.Coach, mentor, and assist staff with problem-solving, policies, procedures, and clinical concerns.Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives.Help maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.Provide feedback on staff performance and assist with corrective action processes when needed.ScheduleThis is a 36-hour-per-week, full-time night-shift position with a two-week rotating schedule.Week 1Tuesday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AMWednesday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AMThursday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AMSaturday: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AMSunday: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AMWeek 2Wednesday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AMThursday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AMFriday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AMRequired QualificationsAssociate Degree in Nursing or an accredited Nursing Diploma.BSN currently in progress or willingness to complete a BSN within three years. An MSN also meets this requirement.Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license.Minimum of four years of recent clinical nursing experience.Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and make independent clinical and operational decisions.Knowledge of professional nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and accepted clinical practices.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity software.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in utilization review, case management, or discharge planning.Knowledge of evidence-based criteria used to assess and determine patient admissions.Key Skills RequiredClinical leadership and independent decision-makingEmergency and crisis managementPatient flow and placement coordinationRegulatory and operational complianceInterdisciplinary communication and collaborationStaff supervision, coaching, and problem-solving
