We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Installer to join our team on a contract basis in Tempe, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of garage doors while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring high-quality workmanship. As a Garage Door Installer, you will play a crucial part in delivering safe and functional garage door solutions to our clients, impacting their satisfaction and trust in our services.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall garage doors and operators according to manufacturer specifications.Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and local building codes.Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients throughout the installation process.Diagnose and resolve any installation-related issues, utilizing problem-solving skills.Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.Document installation processes and report any issues or customer feedback to management.Collaborate with team members to improve installation techniques and enhance customer satisfaction.Required and Preferred QualificationsValid Drivers license.Reliable van or truck.Tools for the trade or the means to purchase the tools needed.Open availability including weekends.Pass a background check.Commercial Garage door experience preferred.Proven installation skills, particularly in garage door systems.Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for quality installations.Prior experience in installation or a related field is preferred but not strictly required.This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Pay is per job.Common tools used in this field include hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment specific to garage door systems. The team structure may consist of installers, supervisors, and customer service personnel working collaboratively to ensure high-quality service delivery. Reporting relationships involve direct communication with management to relay feedback and report on project successes. Cross-functional collaboration with customer service representatives will be essential to address client needs and resolve any issues that may arise.
