The Receptionist at Sip and Sprout will be the face of our café — greeting guests, managing reservations and seating, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring every visitor has a smooth and pleasant experience from the moment they arrive. This role combines hospitality, communication, and light administrative duties in a fun café environment. Key Responsibilities• Warmly greet and welcome every customer who enters the café with a smile.• Manage table reservations, walk-ins, and seating arrangements efficiently.• Answer phone calls, respond to messages, and handle customer inquiries about the menu, hours, and events.• Maintain the front desk and entrance area — keeping it tidy, inviting, and well-stocked.• Assist with taking and communicating orders to café staff when needed.• Handle customer feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally and with empathy.• Manage waitlists during busy periods and communicate wait times clearly to guests.• Coordinate with the kitchen and serving team to ensure smooth table turnover.• Assist in organizing and promoting café events, promotions, and special offers.• Maintain guest records, feedback forms, and reservation logs.• Process payments and handle the POS (Point of Sale) system when required.• Ensure café policies and hygiene standards are upheld at the front of house at all times. Required Qualifications• Minimum HSC; any diploma or degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field is a plus.•  Prior experience in a café, restaurant, hotel front desk, or customer service role preferred.• Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.• Excellent communication skills in Bengali; basic English communication is an advantage.• Presentable appearance with a warm and professional demeanor.• Ability to handle a busy, fast-paced café environment with a calm attitude.•  Basic computer or tablet skills for reservations, POS, and messaging.• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shift-based hours.
