The QA/Software Tester role is a part-time position based in the United States. This position is integral to ensuring the quality and functionality of software products through thorough testing methodologies, strictly adhering to industry standards. The individual will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality deliverables while contributing to a positive work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct manual testing of software applications to identify bugs and ensure functionality.Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software products.Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.Document testing processes, outcomes, and provide detailed reports on software performance.Identify, record, and track defects, working closely with the development team to resolve issues.Participate in project meetings, offering insights on quality assurance and testing processes.Perform regression testing after fixes have been applied to ensure software reliability.Required and preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.Proven expertise in manual testing methodologies.Familiarity with relevant software testing tools is preferred.2+ years of experience in software testing, particularly in manual testing processes.The team structure typically includes developers, project managers, and other QA testers, fostering collaboration to achieve project success. The QA/Software Tester will report directly to a QA Lead or Project Manager, facilitating efficient communication regarding testing outcomes.
