We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team in the cybersecurity industry. Our company is a mid-sized cybersecurity firm located in Los Angeles, California, focused on providing top-notch security solutions to a diverse range of clients. As a fully remote position, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to the overall safety and integrity of our clients' digital environments. In this role, you will have a significant impact on protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Monitor security alerts and incidents, analyzing logs and reports to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Conduct detailed investigations into security breaches and create incident response plans. Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols. Collaborate with IT teams to secure various network infrastructures and ensure a robust cybersecurity posture. Conduct risk assessments and security audits to evaluate and improve security practices. Provide training and awareness programs for staff on cybersecurity best practices. Document and report findings, developing policies and procedures related to information security. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools. Knowledge of network security protocols and ethical hacking principles. Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar. At least 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles. Our team operates in a supportive structure that encourages professional growth and collaboration.
