The Customs Analyst position is a contract role located in Detroit, Michigan, United States. This position plays a critical part in the supply chain and logistics industry, focusing on import/export regulations and data analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficiency of the logistics processes, ensuring compliance and effective communication across various levels.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze data related to customs processes and procedures.Review and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.Prepare and process necessary documentation for shipments.Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding customs requirements.Assist in the resolution of customs-related issues and queries.Monitor changes in regulations and update processes accordingly.Support audits and compliance reviews as needed.Required and Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.Strong data analysis skills.Knowledge of import/export regulations.Strong communication skills.This position involves collaboration with various teams, focusing on customs compliance and logistics efficiency. The Customs Analyst will work closely with logistics coordinators, compliance officers, and other key stakeholders to ensure all processes are adhered to and optimized.The Customs Analyst will report to the Logistics Manager and will have regular interactions with cross-functional teams within the organization to facilitate smooth operations related to customs and imports/exports.Interaction with cross-functional teams will be essential to the role, as the Customs Analyst will need to ensure that all departments are aligned with regulations and that information flows seamlessly across groups.
