We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer specializing in Security to join our team in San Francisco, California. This is a full-time position with an annual compensation of USD $275,000. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the security initiatives of our software applications, ensuring robust protection against potential threats and vulnerabilities. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement secure software applications and systems. Conduct security assessments and vulnerability assessments on existing applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Research and develop security tools to enhance application protection. Participate in code reviews to identify and mitigate security issues. Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and vulnerabilities. Document security protocols and guidelines for the development team. Required and Preferred Qualifications Proven experience in software development and security engineering. Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, and security tools. Familiarity with relevant programming languages and development frameworks. Experience in conducting vulnerability analysis and risk management. Industry-standard certifications in security (e.g. CISSP, CEH, or equivalent) are highly preferred. Experience with DevSecOps practices is a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a software engineering role, with a focus on security-related tasks. The role requires working closely with various teams, including product management, DevOps, and QA, to ensure security is embedded in every stage of software development. You will report directly to the Head of Security Engineering, and collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to your success in this position. As a Software Engineer specializing in Security, you will have a critical impact on the security posture of our applications, contributing to the overall integrity and trustworthiness of our digital offerings.
