We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Texas City, Texas. This full-time position will involve working in a clinical laboratory environment where you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results while adhering to industry standards. As a crucial member of the healthcare team, your role will directly impact patient diagnoses and treatment plans. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory tests on patient specimens using standardized procedures and techniques. Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and healthcare staff. Ensure quality control and quality assurance protocols are followed to maintain laboratory standards. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance. Document laboratory procedures and results accurately in accordance with regulatory compliance. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care. Participate in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise in laboratory testing. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field. Proficient in various laboratory techniques and procedures. Industry-standard certifications relevant to laboratory science are preferred. Experience using relevant laboratory software and tools. A proven track record of working effectively in a laboratory setting. The Medical Laboratory Scientist will work within a structured team environment, closely collaborating with other laboratory technicians, physicians, and healthcare staff to facilitate patient care. You will report to the Laboratory Manager and may work alongside other medical professionals in different departments for comprehensive patient analysis and treatment. Cross-functional collaboration will be essential in this role, as you will need to communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely and accurate test results that contribute to patient health outcomes.
