The Data Center Lab Technician (Night Shift) position is a contract role located in Santa Clara, California. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of a data center environment. The technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support equipment maintenance and operational efficiency during night shifts.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain data center equipment to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues affecting data center operations.Document maintenance activities and operational procedures as needed.Assist in installing, configuring, and deploying new servers and network equipment.Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on critical systems.Collaborate with team members to address operational challenges and improve efficiency.Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards within the data center.Required and preferred qualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.Knowledge of data center operations.Experience working in a technical environment, preferably within data centers.Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in data center management.This role will involve working closely with other technicians and engineers within the data center.
