We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various concrete finishing techniques and enjoy working in a collaborative atmosphere.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, set up, and finish concrete surfaces.Review and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine project specifications.Ensure that concrete formwork is properly aligned and secured before pouring.Apply various finishing techniques, including troweling, smoothing, and sealing.Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications.Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety regulations.Collaborate with team members and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.Required and preferred qualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Proven experience in concrete form setting and finishing.Knowledge of industry-standard safety regulations and procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.Physical stamina to perform manual labor effectively.The Concrete Finisher will work closely with other construction team members, including laborers and supervisors, to ensure all aspects of concrete finishing are executed efficiently. This role reports to the Site Supervisor and collaborates with various teams to complete projects on time and within budget.Common tools used in this field include trowels, screeds, and concrete finishing machines.
