Location Bay Area, CAThe Partner & General Counsel - Legal Domain Expert position is a part-time opportunity based in the United States that requires a comprehensive understanding of corporate and transactional law. This role is ideal for a legal professional looking to leverage their expertise while contributing to impactful legal matters in a flexible work environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in navigating complex legal landscapes and providing strategic guidance on legal and compliance issues.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice on corporate governance, business transactions, and contractual agreements.Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents to ensure compliance and protect the organization’s interests.Conduct legal research and analysis to support various projects and initiatives.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify legal risks and provide solutions.Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, especially those affecting corporate and transactional practices.Assist with the integration of AI and large language models within the legal frameworks.Engage with external legal counsel as necessary for specialized legal matters.Required and Preferred QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Legal expertise in corporate and transactional law.Excellent written communication skills.Experience with AI and large language models in a legal context.Prior experience as a General Counsel or in a similar role is preferred.The role involves working closely with various teams to implement and execute legal strategies that align with business goals. The partner will report to the senior leadership team, ensuring that all legal perspectives are aligned with the organization’s objectives.Cross-functional collaboration is crucial in this position, as the General Counsel will work alongside departments such as finance, compliance, and operations to address legal concerns and foster a culture of compliance within the organization.
