One of Arca’s U.S.-based clients is looking for an accomplished Senior Video Editor with exceptional storytelling instincts.This is not a role for someone who simply assembles footage, follows templates, or relies on flashy effects. Our client needs an editor who can understand what a video is trying to communicate, find the story within the raw material, and make intentional creative decisions that serve that story.You should be able to explain why a particular shot belongs in a sequence, why a moment is paced a certain way, how B-roll supports the message, and why the music fits the emotional direction of the piece.The work will primarily consist of long-form YouTube videos, brand stories, interviews, testimonials, educational content, and commercial productions.What you'll doTurn raw footage into polished, story-driven long-form videosFind the central narrative, strongest moments, and emotional direction within the footageMake independent editorial decisions about structure, sequencing, pacing, and toneUse B-roll intentionally to clarify ideas, reinforce meaning, and maintain audience engagementSelect music that supports the story rather than distracting from itEdit interviews and testimonials into clear, persuasive narrativesCreate brand and website videos that communicate what a company does, who it serves, and why it mattersImprove viewer retention without compromising the professionalism or substance of the contentPerform professional color correction, audio cleanup, sound design, and finishingIncorporate titles, lower thirds, motion graphics, and other visual elements when they strengthen the storyManage feedback and revisions efficiently while maintaining a consistently high standardKeep footage, project files, assets, and exports meticulously organizedCommunicate proactively with the client and meet agreed production deadlinesWhat our client is looking forAt least four years of professional video-editing experienceAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere ProA portfolio containing exceptional long-form workDemonstrated experience with YouTube videos, interviews, testimonials, brand films, commercial content, or documentary-style storytellingThe ability to turn unstructured footage into a clear and compelling narrativeStrong judgment around pacing, music, B-roll, color, sound, and emotional toneA clear understanding of the goal behind each video and the response it should create in the audienceConfidence making creative and structural decisions without needing every cut prescribedHigh professional standards and exceptional attention to detailThe ability to receive detailed feedback from a highly experienced editor and apply it constructivelyExcellent written and spoken EnglishReliable communication, organization, and deadline managementA computer capable of handling professional footage and large Premiere Pro projectsFast, reliable internet and sufficient local storage for large media filesFull availability during U.S. business hoursExperience with After Effects, motion graphics, Adobe Photoshop, or DaVinci Resolve is valuable but secondary to storytelling ability and Premiere Pro expertise.Portfolio ExpectationYour portfolio must include at least one complete long-form project that represents the best work you have produced.Short-form reels, compilations, and rapid social edits alone will not be considered sufficient.
