The successful candidate will work in a supportive environment designed to cater to the diverse educational needs of our students.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure educational goals are being met.Maintain knowledge of special education laws and regulations to effectively support students and families.Create a positive classroom environment that fosters learning and behavioral development.Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals regarding student progress and challenges.Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate various learning styles.Collaborate with other educators to integrate initiatives that support students across the curriculum.Required and Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Washington State(M/M or M/S).Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs).Strong classroom management skills.This role will involve working closely with a team of dedicated professionals who share a commitment to supporting students with special needs.
