We are seeking a skilled Computational Biologist to join our team. This full-time position offers an annual compensation of $80,000. The role is essential within the evolving field of bioinformatics, contributing to critical research and development in computational biology.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth analyses of biological data utilizing computational methods.Develop and implement algorithms for the interpretation of complex biological datasets.Collaborate with laboratory teams to integrate computational findings with empirical data.Contribute to the preparation of scientific papers and presentations to communicate research outcomes.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bioinformatics tools and statistical methods applicable to biological research.Engage with cross-functional teams to support ongoing research projects and initiatives.Assist in mentoring junior researchers and interns in computational techniques.Required and Preferred QualificationsPhD in Computational Biology or related field.Strong background in bioinformatics, including experience with relevant software and tools.Hands-on experience in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics (e.g., Python, R).Familiarity with data analysis, machine learning techniques, and statistical modeling.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.Prior experience in computational biology research is preferred.The ideal candidate will be part of a team environment, collaborating closely with other scientists and researchers.
