We are seeking a dedicated Dump Truck Operator to join our team at Impala Platinum Mine, located in the bustling city of Rustenburg, North West, South Africa. As a key contributor in a leading mining company, you will operate heavy machinery to transport materials, ensuring safe and efficient operations within a dynamic work environment. This role will significantly impact our productivity and contribute to our commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and manage dump trucks for the transportation of waste and ore materials within the mining site.Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure the trucks are in optimal working condition.Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.Coordinate with the operations team to schedule and execute tasks efficiently.Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as necessary.Document daily operational activities and report any issues to supervisors.Required and preferred qualificationsEducation: Minimum of Grade 10/12.Skills: Proficient in English, strong communication skills, ability to work well in a team, and a thorough understanding of safety practices.Experience: Previous experience in operating heavy machinery, preferably in a mining or construction environment.Certifications: Valid driver's license and any relevant heavy machinery operation certifications are preferred.Our company culture encourages teamwork and safety, fostering a supportive atmosphere for all employees.
