We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Hayward, CA for the 2026-27 school year. You will be part of a collaborative team that values both professionalism and empathy, creating a positive impact in the community.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.Conduct assessments to determine students' educational needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other specialists to support the overall development of students.Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust curriculum as needed to ensure successful learning outcomes.Provide ongoing communication with families regarding their child’s achievements, challenges, and needs.Facilitate a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and fosters a sense of belonging.Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with educational trends and strategies.Required and preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Special Education is required.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.Knowledge of relevant educational software and tools to enhance teaching methods.A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a special education setting is preferred.At our institution, we believe in fostering a culture of growth and development.
