The Claims Examiner Processing Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to claims examiners by reviewing claim documents, entering data, verifying information, maintaining records, and ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work with confidential information.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, review, and process incoming claims documentation.Enter claim information into company databases and systems.Verify claim details for completeness and accuracy.Request missing information from claimants, providers, or other parties.Maintain electronic and paper claim files.Assist claims examiners with claim investigations and documentation.Monitor claim status and update records as needed.Respond to routine inquiries from customers, providers, or internal staff.Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Prepare reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents.Scan, index, and organize claim-related materials.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (associate degree may be preferred).Previous clerical, administrative, data entry, insurance, or customer service experience preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Strong typing and data entry skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle confidential information professionally.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Desired SkillsKnowledge of insurance or claims processing procedures.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Problem-solving and analytical skills.Familiarity with claims management software.Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
