This position is essential in fostering their academic and social growth, ultimately preparing them for successful futures.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents and support staff.Utilize effective communication strategies to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.Manage classroom behavior through established behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment.Assess and monitor students’ progress, adapting instruction as needed to ensure all students reach their goals.Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to provide integrated support for students.Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with special education trends.Maintain accurate records of student performance and communication with families regarding progress and challenges.Required and Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Special Education is required.Strong skills in communication and behavior management.Experience working with children with disabilities is preferred.Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.Knowledge of relevant software and tools for educational planning.A minimum of 1-3 years of teaching experience in a special education setting is preferred.Our organization values professional growth and encourages lifelong learning among our staff.
