We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Outdoor Labor/Landscaper/Gardener/Wood Shop Assistant to join our team in Belleville, Ontario. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor environment, contributing to various landscaping and gardening projects while assisting in wood shop activities. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces, positively impacting the local community.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily landscaping tasks including planting, weeding, and pruning to maintain the aesthetic appeal of gardens and outdoor areas.Assist in woodworking projects, including the fabrication and assembly of wooden structures or features.Maintain and operate landscaping tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.Support garden upkeep, including watering, fertilization, and pest management strategies.Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping designs and client requests effectively.Contribute to the clean-up and maintenance of the worksite, ensuring a safe and organized environment.Monitor and report on project progress, providing updates to supervisors and suggesting improvements.Required and Preferred Qualifications Previous experience hard physical labor, landscaping, gardening, or woodworking preferred.Strong knowledge regarding the use of outdoor tools: lawnmower, brush, cutter, chainsawExperience with woodworking, hand and power tools and techniques.Ability to operate landscaping and woodworking tools safely and effectively.Excellent physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in Summer heat and bed bugsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.Previous experience in a similar role is an asset Handle constructive criticism necessary to improve skills
