We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Adjuster to join our dynamic team in Chicago, Illinois. As a full-time member of our organization, you will work within the insurance industry, specifically focusing on the evaluation and settlement of claims. Key Responsibilities Investigate claims by conducting interviews, reviewing documents, and inspecting property damage. Analyze the evidence collected to assess the validity of claims and determine the extent of liability. Collaborate with legal teams, insurance brokers, and policyholders to facilitate timely resolutions to claims. Prepare detailed reports and summaries of claims findings and recommendations. Negotiate settlements in a fair and objective manner, keeping the best interests of both the company and the claimant in mind. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all claims activity in our database. Contribute to special projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Required and preferred qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively interacting with clients and team members. Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite. 1-3 years of experience in claims adjustment or a related field preferred. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are a plus. You will be part of a supportive team structured to encourage collaboration and professional growth. Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will collaborate closely with multiple departments, including underwriting and customer service, to ensure an efficient claims process.
