We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team providing medical care in correctional facilities in Beaumont, Texas. The role operates under a contract work model, allowing flexibility and competitive compensation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities for incarcerated individuals.Administer medications, perform health assessments, and document patient progress accurately.Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.Monitor vital signs and respond to emergency situations as they arise, ensuring safety and well-being.Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention practices.Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to all facility protocols and regulations.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care improvements and address concerns.Required and preferred qualificationsCurrent and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification.Proven experience in patient care, preferably in correctional facilities or similar environments.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively relate to patients and staff.Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing or a related field.This role is part of a strong and supportive team structure that enables collaboration across various healthcare disciplines.
