We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Traffic Control Person (TCP) and Lane Closure Technician (LCT) to join our team in Langley, British Columbia. This full-time position offers a supportive work environment where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe management of traffic in construction and maintenance zones, making a significant impact on community safety and traffic flow.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and maintain traffic control devices and lane closures according to safety regulations.Communicate effectively with motorists, pedestrians, and construction teams to ensure safety and compliance.Monitor traffic flow and make adjustments as necessary to reduce congestion.Perform routine inspections of traffic control setups and report any deficiencies.Provide clear instructions to the public and coworkers in a proactive manner.Participate in safety meetings and trainings to remain informed on best practices.Assist in the development of traffic management plans for various projects.Required and Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse groups.Valid TCP certification or ability to obtain within probation period.Basic knowledge of traffic management software and tools.Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in traffic control or construction environments preferred.This position operates within a structured team environment, reporting to the Site Supervisor and collaborating closely with construction crews and local authorities to ensure alignment on project goals and community safety standards.
