We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural / Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York City, NY. This W2 Contract position offers a competitive hourly compensation of $60. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the design and analysis of structural systems, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. You will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to significant projects that shape our infrastructure and communities.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct structural analysis and design of buildings and other structures using advanced engineering principles.Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications for compliance with building codes.Engage in design presentations and discussions with clients and stakeholders to outline project scopes and objectives.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project success.Oversee project progress and provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.Participate in project planning and feasibility studies, evaluating material choices and construction processes.Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring all engineering practices meet regulatory requirements.Required and Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis within the civil engineering industry.Proficiency in Structural Design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations.Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.Experience with concrete and steel design principles.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Our team thrives in a collaborative and innovative culture that encourages professional development and continuous learning.
