We are seeking a dedicated Import/Export Clerk to join our team in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa. Your ability to manage import and export documentation will significantly impact our logistics process and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping companies to schedule shipments and track their status.Maintain organized records of all transactions, communications, and relevant documentation.Communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues related to shipping and customs clearance.Assist in problem-solving to address customs issues and delays efficiently and effectively.Monitor and evaluate shipment schedules, ensuring timely delivery of goods.Provide reports on import/export activities and shipping costs to management as needed.Required and preferred qualificationsHigh School Diploma required; further education in logistics or related fields preferred.Proven attention to detail and strong organizational skills essential for handling documentation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and suppliers.Strong problem-solving abilities and effective time management skills.Proficient in the use of standard office software and basic knowledge of import/export software is a plus.At least 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role is preferred.Our team operates in a collaborative environment that encourages growth and development.
