We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Dietitian to join our team in Newington, Connecticut. This contract position is ideal for individuals passionate about promoting health and wellness through nutrition. Your expertise will have a significant impact on improving the nutritional health of our patients, contributing to their overall wellbeing and recovery.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients, considering their medical history, dietary habits, and nutritional needs.Develop and implement personalized Medical Nutrition Therapy plans to address individual patient requirements effectively.Design and manage menu plans that comply with therapeutic diets and meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations.Maintain accurate dietary documentation and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed dietary choices.Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to nutrition plans based on clinical outcomes.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing your dietary expertise to enhance patient treatment plans.Required and Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is mandatory.Proven experience in clinical nutrition, with at least 2 years working in a healthcare setting preferred.Strong proficiency in Nutrition, Patient Assessment, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Menu Planning, and Dietary Documentation.Certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is highly desirable.Experience with electronic health records and dietary management software is preferred.Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.This role offers growth opportunities through continued professional development and advancement within our organization.
