As a Volunteer Grant Writer on the Grants Team, you'll play a vital role in helping our organization secure funding to further our mission. In this role, your writing skills will directly influence the support we receive and the lives we touch.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch potential funding opportunities from various foundations and governmental sources.Draft compelling grant proposals that clearly articulate our mission, project goals, and funding needs.Collaborate with the Grants Team to gather necessary data, statistics, and storytelling elements that bolster grant applications.Edit and refine proposals to ensure clarity, professionalism, and adherence to each funder's guidelines.Maintain an organized database of submitted grants and follow up on application status.Contribute to team meetings by providing updates on grant opportunities and funding landscape.Assist in reporting on awarded grants to maintain compliance with funder requirements.Required and preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.Strong writing skills with a proven ability to produce clear and persuasive documents.Familiarity with grant writing processes and best practices is preferred.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.Prior volunteer experience with nonprofit organizations is a plus.Our Grants Team operates in a supportive structure where you will work alongside dedicated professionals committed to our mission.
