We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our dynamic team in Bridgeport, West Virginia. As a key member of our finance department, you will contribute to our success by managing essential financial operations in a collaborative work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the accounting department, including daily bookkeeping and payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely financial records.Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analyses, providing insights into financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations to uphold financial integrity.Manage the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with departmental leaders to align financial goals.Supervise the reconciliation of bank statements and prepare necessary adjustments, ensuring all accounts are in order.Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, assisting with the preparation of required documents and statements.Continuously improve processes and systems within the finance department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Required and preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a managerial capacityStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and payroll processingProficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and ExcelCertified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plusOur Controller will be part of a focused finance team that collaborates closely with the executive team and other departments.
