We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Pasadena, CA. As a key member of our organization, you will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives and achieve their personal goals. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.5-19.5 and provides a supportive work environment where your contributions significantly impact the lives of our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct assistance with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and mobility support.Document client progress and any changes in behavior or health, ensuring accurate records are maintained.Implement individualized support plans to promote the well-being and independence of clients.Encourage and support clients in participating in recreational and community activities.Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members to foster a collaborative environment.Provide behavior support by utilizing strategies that promote positive behaviors and communication.Assist in crisis intervention when necessary, utilizing training and support techniques to ensure safety and stability.Required and preferred qualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on compassion and patience.Experience in providing mobility assistance is preferred.Proficient in documentation practices related to client support.Knowledge of behavior support techniques is advantageous.Relevant certifications in developmental disabilities or related fields are a plus.A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.Join a team that embraces a culture of empathy, respect, and support.
