As a Mine Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mining activities while contributing to the overall safety and integrity of our work environment. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a tangible impact in an established company dedicated to its workforce and the surrounding community.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct daily inspections of mining equipment and tools to ensure they are safe and operational.Operate various machinery and tools related to mining activities while adhering to strict safety protocols.Assist in the transportation and distribution of coal products from mining locations to designated areas.Collaborate with fellow team members to uphold safety standards and implement best practices on-site.Participate in the loading and unloading of coal, ensuring efficient and accurate operations.Record and report any irregularities or issues encountered during daily operations to the foreman.Engage in regular training and development sessions to improve safety skills and operational efficiency.Required and preferred qualificationsEducation: Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.Skills: Strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to implement them on-site.Experience: Prior experience in a mining or industrial role is preferred but not required; we will consider all candidates with a safety-focused mindset.Certifications: Any relevant safety certifications will be an advantage.Knowledge of operating mining-related machinery is a plus.The ideal candidate will find themselves part of a dynamic team structure where they will report to the Shift Supervisor.
