As a Locum Tenens physician, you will have the flexibility to work on a temporary basis while gaining valuable experience in different settings.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose a wide range of ophthalmological conditions.Conduct surgical procedures including cataract surgery, glaucoma procedures, and other ocular surgeries.Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients.Provide patient education on ocular health and the management of eye diseases.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.Document patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic health records accurately and efficiently.Participate in on-call duties as needed, providing consultative support for emergent ophthalmic conditions.Required and preferred qualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is required.Board certification in Ophthalmology preferred.Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in ophthalmology.Strong surgical skills with a focus on procedures relevant to ophthalmology.Proficiency in using ophthalmology diagnostic and surgical equipment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.As an Ophthalmology Physician in our practice, you will work within a collaborative team structure that fosters open communication and continuous learning.
