Legal Assistant – Business & Corporate LawCleveland, OHOur client, a Cleveland-based law firm, is seeking a strong Legal Assistant to support its Business & Corporate Law group. This role requires hands-on experience with transactional legal work, including closings, corporate recordkeeping, and document execution. You will work closely with attorneys handling mergers, acquisitions, entity formations, and ongoing corporate matters, making a significant impact in a fast-paced legal environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, edit, and proofread contracts, correspondence, and transactional documents.Manage DocuSign workflows, signature tracking, and execution packages.Prepare and maintain organizational charts, closing binders, and corporate records.Coordinate and support corporate closings and post-closing documentation.Serve as a point of contact between attorneys, clients, and third parties.Handle scheduling, time entry, and general administrative support for the practice group.Required and Preferred QualificationsExperience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary supporting business or corporate attorneys.Hands-on exposure to transactional legal work and corporate filings.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and legal document management systems.Understanding of corporate records, organizational charts, and closing processes.Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities.Clear written and verbal communication skills.This role will be a part of a dedicated corporate law team, reporting directly to senior attorneys while collaborating with paralegals and support staff.The successful candidate will work within a supportive culture that fosters growth and development in the legal sector, ensuring strong interdepartmental collaboration and the opportunity to engage with clients and third parties regularly.Join a dynamic workplace offering professional development opportunities, a collaborative culture, and modern workplace benefits that include competitive salary packages, medical plans, and potential for career advancement within the firm.
