We are seeking a dedicated Garden Design and Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. This role is a contract position offering a unique opportunity to engage with clients and enhance their outdoor spaces. As a vital member of our company, you will play a crucial role in the overall aesthetic and functionality of residential and commercial gardens, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of design and maintenance. Your contributions will not only beautify environments but also promote a connection with nature within the community.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and plan garden layouts based on client preferences and environmental factors.Oversee the installation of garden features, including planting, landscaping, and hardscaping elements such as pavements.Perform regular maintenance tasks, including watering, pruning, and pest control, to ensuring garden health.Manage project timelines effectively while addressing client inquiries and concerns with exceptional customer service.Coordinate and collaborate with other contractors and specialists when necessary, maintaining effective communication.Implement environmentally sustainable practices in all landscaping and maintenance activities.Maintain detailed records of work performed and monitor success metrics in terms of client satisfaction and garden growth.Required and Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Strong skills in Design, Landscaping, and Project Management.Proficiency in Plumbing, Pavement installation, and Painting techniques.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Effective time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.Previous experience in garden design or maintenance is preferred.This role operates within a small yet dynamic team allowing for direct collaboration with colleagues and clients.
