As a Youth Environment and NGO Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in fostering youth engagement and promoting sustainability initiatives through advocacy and meaningful interactions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement dynamic programs that engage and empower youth in environmental sustainability projects.Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Conduct thorough research and analysis of current environmental issues and youth involvement strategies, providing actionable insights.Facilitate workshops and training sessions aimed at improving public speaking and advocacy skills among youth participants.Develop networking opportunities with local organizations, schools, and community groups to promote collaboration and resource sharing.Collect and analyze data to evaluate project success and adapt strategies as necessary to achieve impactful outcomes.Engage in regular communication with team members and external partners to ensure cohesive project execution and celebrate successes.Required and preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field.Strong communication and public speaking skills to effectively convey environmental messages.Proven experience in project management within NGOs or similar environments.Competence in research methodologies and data analysis relevant to environmental sustainability.Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting, while also showcasing excellent problem-solving skills.Preferred certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and/or Environmental Management.Familiarity with tools such as MS Office Suite, data analysis software, and project management platforms.A minimum of 3 years' experience working in environmental education, non-profits, or community-based organizations.This position is part of a collaborative team that values diverse perspectives and teamwork.
