Plant Accountant – ManufacturingSalt Lake City, UTRole Overview:The Plant Accountant partners with plant leadership and Corporate Finance to ensure accurate plant-level accounting, cost accounting support, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment. This role reports to the Corporate CFO and supports operational performance through financial insights and strong internal controls.Key Responsibilities:• Perform monthly plant close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and cost analysis• Prepare and report plant KPIs with variance analysis• Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts (raw materials, WIP, finished goods, variances)• Ensure accurate ERP transaction processing related to inventory, labor, and production• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost/volume/profit analysis• Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle count programs• Support internal controls, audits, and capital expenditure trackingMust have:Bachelor`s degree8+ years of exp with Manufacturing Cost Accounting5+ year of exp in preparing journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely and accurate plant close.Proficient in manufacturing ERP transaction processing (inventory, production, labor, scrap).Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• 2–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment• Strong cost accounting and inventory management knowledge• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor/CSI, etc.)• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilitiesAdditional Requirements:• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship• Ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing setting
