This part-time, stipend-based position offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant community environment, helping young players develop their skills and passion for tennis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages participants to strive for improvement while building confidence and teamwork skills.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct tennis lessons for various age groups, focusing on skill development and sportsmanship.Create engaging practice drills and training sessions that cater to different skill levels.Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback to help players reach their individual goals.Organize and oversee local tennis tournaments and events to promote community engagement.Maintain a safe and positive environment during all coaching activities.Act as a mentor and role model, promoting healthy lifestyles and teamwork among participants.Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to enhance program visibility and outreach.Required and Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent required.Proven skill in tennis, with experience coaching or playing at a competitive level preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and supportive demeanor.CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus.Experience working with youth in a sports or community setting is preferred.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.This role offers a supportive atmosphere, where you can connect with community members and foster a love for the sport of tennis.
